SPECIAL THANKS

Thank you to those of you whom have sent emails or have called me to express your sympathy on Vis' early retirement due to his spinal injury.  It has been an extremely difficult time for the both of us.  Your kind words and encouragement have meant so very much to us both.  

To all of you that train with me.  Your dedication, hard work and love of your dogs inspire me to work harder and give more.  Thank you for your constant support.  Vis and I carry it with us no matter where we are.  You are all part of my family as it should be within this sport.

To Anacapa Working Dog Association, especially, Carl Bell.  How much time, energy and effort you gave us.  From the beginning to now... Wow!  I never forget from whence I came and what I learned.  You are in my head still every time I train.

To my trainer, my friend and my confidant, Josef.  For all that you have done, continue to do and for what is yet to come, I say thank you.  It is not enough, but I know you will take no more.  We could not have gotten to where we are right now without you.  Margarete, we could not be sustained in so many, many ways without you.  You are a true and loving friend.

To SV. OG. Sulz and to all those in other parts of Germany I say this:  Walking into your clubhouse is like walking into my second home, for that is what Germany has become.  Each of you makes this so for both Vis and I.  I miss you all and think of you often.  TRAIN HARD!  I'm coming back soon!  (To Eddy, the best track layer... I'm waiting for Paco!)

Finally, to my husband, Gerry.  It is not overlooked, but often times not said enough how much I appreciate you.  You take the brunt of things when time is short for competition and nerves are high.  You take the best care of everything and our family when I am away.  You are truly the heart and soul of Team Vis.  My partner, my friend.  I love you.
